Rosebery Engine Yard Heritage Windows
Impact Group was engaged by Taylor Construction Group to restore over 100 heritage steel window frames and remove hazardous lead-based coatings from structural steel trusses and brickwork.
The scope included removing and transporting the windows to Impact Group’s off-site blast and paint facility, where they underwent Class 2.5 abrasive blasting and application of a three-coat protective coating system. The refurbished frames were subsequently reinstalled, along with over 500 individual glass panels.
Additional works included the removal of over 800m² of hazardous lead-based coatings using controlled chemical stripping methods, ensuring the preservation of heritage surfaces.
